The loss of a loved one is always difficult.  This is the area many people often associate the bagpipes with.  Being an instrument closely related to the Scottish and Irish military, it was often employed in the laying to rest of soldiers and royalty as well.  It is still used prominently in this capacity today and is a staple at the funerals of law enforcement, fire, and emergency services personnel.

The piper will normally play your loved one into the house of worship and during the exit.  The piper can also provide music at the burial site afterwards.  A collection of tunes that are commonly used are below (audio files coming soon):
